On Tuesday, March 14, officers announced that Vanae Lewis, 18, has been identified as the primary suspect believed to be responsible for the murder of 20-year-old Naim Rashid Addison last year, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
On the night of Aug. 21, 2022, Anne Arundel County Police Officers say they found Addison suffering from a gunshot wound inside of a vehicle in the area of Pioneer Drive and Arwell Court in Severn.
Addison was rushed to a nearby hospital where medical professionals attempted to revive him but were unsuccessful.
Through physical, biological, and electronic evidence, Lewis was identified as a suspect and was taken into custody, officials said. Lewis has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, "other related charges."
